As viewers took to social media to remark how tall the former X Factor contestant is, many shared their delight at seeing the presenter on screen once again – with some even calling for the Radio 2 DJ to make the step-up from Strictly’s spin-off show and host the main event next year.
The It Takes Two presenter, 33, appeared alongside his co-host Janette Manrara as they enjoyed a quick catch up with the main show’s presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly – just hours after Rylan partied with his showbiz pals in London amid the release of his new memoir.
In his latest book, TEN: The Decade that Changed My Future, Rylan makes a number of candid confessions and details how the breakdown of his marriage last year impacted both his physical and mental health – revealing in the wake of his split from ex-husband Dan Neal he suffered two heart failures.
After his brief cameo on Strictly Come Dancing this evening, BBC viewers took to social media to flood the star with supportive messages.
“Can’t wait for Rylan and Janette on Monday on #Ittakestwo they are amazing. #Strictly,” one fan wrote on Twitter, as another added: “Lovely, lovely Rylan #Strictly.”
“Petition for Rylan to do Strictly next year, & pair him with either Johannes or Graziano #Strictly,” a third quipped online, with another agreeing with their tweet reading: “They should let Rylan present the main show. In fact he should just present everything on telly #strictly.”
On Friday [September 23], it was confirmed Rylan had pulled out of a number of book signings across the country next week, in the midst of revelations featured in his new memoir becoming public news – including heartbreaking details about how his divorce last year impacted his health.
Earlier in the day, Waterstones shared the news that the presenter had pulled out of his upcoming scheduled book signings in cities like Liverpool and Birmingham – refunding ticket holders and telling them in an email: “We are very disappointed to have to advise you that our planned signings with Rylan has been cancelled.
“Apologies for the extremely short notice, and for any disappointment or inconvenience caused.”

Rylan’s representatives told The Mirror his signings have been cancelled “purely for logistics” and wanted to reassure fans that the meet and greets are being rescheduled.
In his new book, on sale now, the This Morning presenter details how the breakdown of his marriage to former Big Brother contestant Dan Neal, 43, impacted not just his mental health, but his physical health too – admitting he suffered two heart failures amid the split.
Rylan and Dan tied the knot in 2015 but announced their separation in July last year – with the TV presenter now revealing in his latest memoir how their marriage was rocked by his historic cheating admissions.
The It Takes Two presenter recalls how he had been unfaithful to Dan “years ago” but only decided to tell his partner in May 2021, causing their six-year marriage to break down.
The situation was so difficult for Rylan that he said he no longer wanted to be alive and subsequently tried to end his own life.
