Ever since she burst onto the scene with her debut album 19 everyone’s been talking about Adele – but the star says she’s ‘uncomfortable’ being recognised in public.
The 33 year old’s latest single Easy One Me has already broken records with its epic sales and has brought the Tottenham-born singer even more attention.
However when asked how she handles being so well known Adele told Vogue while taking part in their 73 questions series: “I don’t love it.”
Speaking from her LA mansion, wearing a black tracksuit with her hair immaculately coiffed, Adele joked that her appearance has changed so much over the years that she actually looks nothing like she does on stage in real life.
“Ever since 21 came out my hair’s got bigger, my make-up’s got thicker, my dresses have got bigger so that I practically look like a bald eagle in day to day life,” she quipped.
The mum-of-one divorced her ex-husband Simon Konecki in 2019 and admits that the majority of her new album 30 is about their break up.
However, Adele looks to have moved on as she is now dating sports agent Rich Paul.
The pair attended an LA Lakers basketball game on Tuesday, but the singer spent part of the evening hiding behind her bag when her song started playing on the tannoy.
Adele, looking stunning in brown leather, look mortified as she hid behind her tiny Louis Vuitton clutch as she pretended to sing along for the crowd trying to hide her face from the TV cameras.
In addition to her album interviews, Adele is also set to be grilled by legendary interviewer Oprah Winfrey later this year.
The singer and TV icon will sit down as part of a two-hour special called One Night Only on US network CBS on Sunday November 14 marking the star’s return to the spotlight.
It’s also been rumoured that the Hello singer is eyeing up a residency in Las Vegas next year.
According to Billboard, sources close to the singer claim Adele is weighing up staging her first live shows at Park Theater at the Park MGM Las Vegas or the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Adele also said she hopes to go on tour asap, explaining she was “ready to go, but it’s just up to Covid”.
