Furious Strictly Come Dancing viewers have claimed the BBC One show is fixed after former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn was booted off on Sunday.

The actress, who currently plays Becky Quentin in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, was devastated as it was revealed she was to be the second celebrity to leave the dancing competition.

Katie and dance partner Gorka Marquez were in the dance-off for the second week running, alongside Loose Women star Judi Love and her partner Graziano Di Prima, and the couples had to dance their socks off to impress the judges and remain on the beloved show.

However, Katie was sent home after Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and head judge Shirley Ballas chose to save Judi, with just Anton Du Beke opting to save Katie.

Viewers were furious after the actress was sent packing, and they took to Twitter to accuse the judges of saving their favourites on the show.

“What a set of clowns those judges are…..has to be a joke,” while a second raged: “Anton was the only judge to vote for @KatiexMcGlynn The Rest Of the Judges ought to be ashamed of themselves. #fix Katie was the better dancer who never made a mistake.#Strictly”

“No mistakes!” another fan fumed. “Judi and the braces! Much more content in Katie and Gorka’s dance. I like Judi but Katie was better.”

“Love Strictly but have long thought the judges save their favourites and it makes me want to stop watching as I find myself thinking it’s a fix,” one viewer tweeted.

“What a fix by the judges tonight, wrong person kicked out! #Strictly,” another fired.

Some viewers were relieved Judi was staying in the competition, but warned she had more work to do if she wanted to stay out of the bottom two couples.

“I actually think Judi is a bit lucky there as that wasn’t a great dance at all, but tbf she’s maybe got more potential than Katie. I guess we’ll see! #Strictly,” one fan mused.

While others thought that neither Katie or Judi should’ve been in the dance-off, and claimed BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker was the worst dancer on the night.

“What a load of cr*p Dan should be in the dance off. Judi & Katie both deserve to stay on the show,” one angry fan wrote.

“That is a shame. Neither Judi nor Katie deserve to be in the dance off. This is meant to be a dance contest, not a popularity one, but every year it clearly is!” another speculated.

It was Katie’s second week in the dance-off, as she survived her first time in the bottom two after the judges voted to send home actress Nina Wadia and her partner Neil Jones last week.

Katie’s departure from the show comes amid rumours she and dance partner Gorka were feuding, as some fans claimed they had spotted tense moments between the couple.
