The countdown to Strictly Come Dancing 2021 is officially on as the pro dancers get down to work after arriving at their secret Buckinghamshire hotel.

The foxtrotting fun is already in full flow after they were snapped checking in this morning.

It’s nearly time to return to the ballroom once again, with its nineteenth series set to get underway on September 11.

The pros may have plenty of prep time but clearly there’s not a minute to waste before the stars start to arrive.

There will be 14 of them again on hand – and the race for the Glitterball is just getting started.

Gorka Marquez got some stretches in early as he arrived, waving his phone in the air as he limbered up.

Dianne Buswell, in a cosy oversized pink coat, had an early nightmare as she dropped her shoes getting out of her car.

Strictly last month confirmed that four new professional dancers will be joining the 2021 series.

World Junior Latin American Champion 2010 and former Dancing With The Stars Ireland professional Kai Widdrington has signed up

Six-time Latin and Ballroom National Champion Nikita Kuzmin, reigning South African Latin Champion Cameron Lombard and winner of BBC One’s The Greatest Dancer 2020, Jowita Przystal, are all on board.

But don’t worry, many of your favourite regulars will be back.

Popular Aljaž Škorjanec, Dianne and Giovanni Pernice will be going for glory.

Amy Dowden, Gorka, Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe and Karen Hauer are also returning.

Katya Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Nancy Xu, Neil Jones and Oti Mabuse will once again strut their stuff.

Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood will return as judges, alongside new judge – former contestant Anton Du Beke.

Kai – son of former football star Tommy Widdrington – said joining Strictly is his “childhood dream come true”.

He said: “Watching Strictly from the very first series as a young boy from Southampton and now 18 years later, to be a professional dancer on the show is the most amazing feeling and the biggest accomplishment of my career.

“I can’t wait to step onto the Strictly floor and experience the exciting times that lie ahead.”

Cameron Lombard is another new Strictly pro and is ready to create some headlines.

“Not only is this a dream come true but a challenge I am accepting with both hands,” he said.

“I am excited beyond imagination and looking forward to leaving my mark on the dance floor!”

Floppy-haired hunk Nikita Kuzmin said: “I’ve always been amazed by the magic Strictly Come Dancing brings.

“No matter what country I have found myself living in, I’ve never missed a chance to watch it.

“And joining it as a professional dancer is my big chance to make some magic on the most famous dance floor. I can’t wait to give it my all!”
