Images of Sheridan Smith and David Walliams transforming for Hansel & Gretel: After Ever After show the pair looking worlds away from their typical selves.
In the creepy snaps, which are the first look at the pair preparing for their roles, actress Sheridan is unrecognisable as a scary witch and usually handsome comedian David is sure to scare many in his horrifying troll ensemble.
Sheridan delighted fans by sharing three images of herself and David ready for the cameras and poked fun at their gruesome appearances in the caption of the Instagram post.
“Me and the tv husband @dwalliams with no filter! god he gives me such glamorous roles!” she teased.
Both the stars have been fitted with prosthetics in order to transform for the Sky series which is set to air at Christmas.
The snaps show Sheridan sporting a long point nose and frizzy brunette wig below a pointed hat.
Proving that the costume and make-up team thought of every detail, the star’s mouth is even full of wonky, yellowing teeth instead of her usually pearly whites and Sheridan’s radiant complexion has been hidden below sagging skin complete with puffy under-eye bags and warts.
David looks equally as ghastly with a sallow mask crafted out of silicone covering his brown hair and dazzling smile.
Ensuring he looks the part, the author has had fangs stuck into his mouth, a huge nose applied to his visage and pointed ears cover the tips of his ears.
David is clothed in rags covered in moss and foliage in the snaps that show him posing with Sheridan.
Over the weekend, Sheridan sent fans gushing over potential new love interest Alex Lawler.
She shared multiple Instagram posts with her fellow actor and friend of 20 years with her 666k followers.
Sheridan, 40, split from her fiancé Jamie Horn, 31, who is also the father of her son, Billy, last month.
And although there’s no suggestion that Sheridan and Alex are anything more than friends, it seems her fans are keen for them to get together.

She captioned a video of her and Alex in a car with: “He doesn’t need a filter (unlike me) I love you Alex Lawler.”
One fan commented: “One day hubby xxx”
“Is this your new man?” another asked, adding fire to the flames.
Jamie and Sheridan split in July just over a year after Sheridan gave birth to their first child in May 2020.
The Cilla actress met insurance broker Jamie, 31, on the dating app Tinder in 2018 and they got engaged soon after.
In a joint statement to The Sun on Sunday, the couple said: “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.
“We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
