Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock is said to be ‘distraught’ after losing her £40,000 engagement ring.
The bespoke encrusted gold band was a present from her partner Andre Gray, who proposed last summer.
Friends close to the singer, who is currently pregnant with her first baby, say she is heartbroken over the theft.
A source claimed that Leigh-Anne, 29, had always been ‘super careful’ with her prized ring which carries huge sentimental value .
“Leigh-Anne is distraught,” they told The Sun.
“It was her engagement ring that was stolen which, obviously, had huge sentimental value.
“Leigh-Anne and Andre are doing all they can to get to the bottom of it, and get their ring back. It’s not about the money — it’s the principle,” added the source.
A spokesperson for Surrey police told the paper that officers were called on May 13 after reports of a theft where an engagement ring was taken.
Inquiries remain ongoing.
A second source added that Leigh Anne had always been ‘super careful’ with the ring.
The singer had proudly showed off the gold band on social media when Andre popped the question in their garden last summer.
She was also seen wearing the impressive piece while presenting her BBC documentary Leigh-Anne: Race, Power and Pop earlier this month.
Experts had estimated the ring to be worth over £40,000.
It features an unusual emerald-coloured tourmaline stone which is believed to bring healing and balance to the wearer.
Watford footballer Andre surprised Leigh-Anne with the ring on their fourth anniversary together.
Photos of the romantic moment saw the sportsman getting down on one knee in front of an elaborate display of fairy lights as a jubilant Leigh-Anne put her head in her hands in shock.
Mirror Online has contacted Little Mix’s rep and Surrey police for comment.
