Lily James has reportedly set her sights on chart success.
The 32-year-old actress has reportedly recorded a music track with DJ Yoda and plans to release the single in September.
According to an insider, the Cinderella star got into the music studio to belt out some lyrics in order to “shake off everything” after she and married Dominic West, 51, were pictured last year looking extremely cosy in Rome.
“Lily and DJ Yoda recorded Send Her in North London,” a source told The Sun.
Sharing on the song, they added: “It’s got a really chilled-out vibe which was the polar opposite of how Lily was feeling,’ a source told the publication.”
Suggesting that the collaboration was therapeutic for the beauty, they continued: “She went into the studio feeling rebellious and keen to shake off everything happening after the pictures of her and Dominic West in Italy came to light.”
The insider added that Lily “is a really talented singer” and that the plan is to have the song released at the end of summer to “coincide” with Glastonbury music festival.
Last year, bombshell images emerged showing Dominic, who is married to Catherine FitzGerald but wasn’t wearing a wedding ring, leaning in to kiss Lily during a romantic-looking meal, and them riding around town on a scooter together.
After the pictures emerged, Dominic and Catherine put on a united front in a press conference outside their home as she stood firmly by his side.
They posed for the cameras before handing over a hand-written note that insisted their marriage was as strong as ever.
And Catherine even hit out at the people questioning the status of their relationship, telling MailOnline weeks later: “We’re fine, thank you very much, yes we are. Things are OK between us. We don’t need any advice from anyone, thank you.”
The couple have been married since 2010 and have four children together.
And following the scandal, it’s been reported that Catherine has banned Dominic from seeing, speaking to or working with Downton Abbey star Lily ever again.
It’s also claimed that the couple have considered renewing their wedding vows in a bid to show just how committed they are to one another.
A friend told the Mail on Sunday: “The idea of remarrying was talked about.
“Nothing was decided, or has been yet, but Catherine brought up the idea and it was much discussed. It shows how far things have come since those photographs.”
